How to use the javascript code

Hi there,

I wrote a javascript code using Visual Studio, and created a screen.
Can I divert the code in outsystems?

Hi,

I'm not really sure what you mean by "divert the code in OutSystems", but you can definitely use your existing JavaScript code in your OutSystems application.

Check here how do to that.

Hi Toshiya,

I think the following documentation may help you:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/10/Extensibility_and_Integration/JavaScript

Best regards,

João Nobre

Toshiya are you sure you don't mean Java code?

Javascript can just be written in Outsystems instead.

Thank you for your reply.

I try to read reference.

Please mark it as a solution if you got any solutions from above. So the reader will be got help from this post.

Thank you,

Sudip

Hi Toshiya,

Yes, you can write the JavaScript in OutSystems. It's part of Extensibility and Integration of OutSystems.

You can run JavaScript code in your web application in the following ways:

  • Using the Extended Properties of Web Screens or widgets
  • Within unescaped Expressions
  • Using the RunJavaScript action of the HTTPRequestHandler extension

In all the cases, the JavaScript code will run in the context of the browser.

As provided already you should follow the manual for extending the application using JavaScript.

Guys, what about reading through the thread before posting a reply? This is a 2 year old thread that's had many excellent replies already, and the only reason why it was bumped to the top is because someone asked the OP to mark one of the replies as the solution.
