Website Deploy Creates New Directories

Website Deploy Creates New Directories

Hi,

We require a directory in our website to have special permissions added to it in order for a specific AD user to write to it.  When we deploy from Dev to Test, both environments keep the same website folders on the filesystem.

Yet, when we publish to Prod, it creates a new website directory every time, which then we must manually go in and add the permission every time.  Is there a way to avoid the creating of a new directory every publish?

Thanks

why would you want to be able to write directly in the generated directory fo the application?

imho you should have a dedicated write-folder for all sorts of actions (and why should it be inside the IIS folder? )

We're copying images from a network share to the website's image folder then serving them out depending on user's roles.

When it was designed, I didn't know that OutSystems generates different directories for the same site.
