Service Studio freezes after opening

Service Studio freezes after opening

Hi,

Service Studio 10 all of a sudden started freezing when I am opening a module. I have been using for 3+ months and suddenly facing the issue. Please help.

Regards,

Prasanna CS

Hi Prasanna,

Can you provide a few more details? Did you update Service Studio? What version are you using now? Does it happen with any module or just a specific one? Are you having any network connectivity issues?

This is caused by the most recent .NET patches that got rolled out. Reverting those patches or upgrading to the latest version from the OutSystems solves the problems, it seems.

Justin,

"the latest version from the OutSystems" - you mean the latest version of Service Studio (717)?

Kilian -

If he works for my employer (I believe he does)... long story, but we've been making people install versions like 9.0.0.6 and 9.1.0.3 (or something like that)... basically one of the first versions of Studio in that major/minor combination. Of COURSE it doesn't work too well. I'm hoping that this gets them to finally let folks move to something newer...

Hi All,

The issue is documented here:

https://github.com/dotnet/announcements/issues/53

There is another fix (Workaround 3 near the bottom of that doc) which involves replacing a couple of font files. That worked for me.

Thank you, Myles. .Net 4.7.1 was the issue and the Service Studio works now.

Appreciate your help.
