Code to run applet

Code to run applet

Hi,

I want to run a java applet from a .jar file on the UI, is there any way to do that ?

Hi AKM,

You can learn how to work with JavaScript in a Web (and mobile) application through the documentation.

Cheers

@Eduardo

JavaScript is not the same as Java (applet) ;)

Sorry. :(
Misread.

An applet jar file is just code, so I think you need to add a tag to inform the browser you want to run it. Use the <applet> tag. Add it through the actions in the HTTPRequestHandler extension.

For syntax on the applet tag, just google it :)

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

P.S. I would avoid using applets...

P.S.2 You can try to find something in forge to run applets, don't know if it exists...

@AKM

You can add an expression to your UI and set it to to "Escape Content" = No. This expression will have the applet tag configuration.

You can also add your JAR to the module resources.

You must set "Deploy Action" to "Deploy to Target Directory".

Take notice of the Runtime Path. You'll use it in the archive property of the applet tag.
