can i install and use outsystems in mac os

can i install and use outsystems in mac os

I've tried to install outsystems in mac os  but i can't install in mac os.

thanks in advance.

Of course you cannot, it's a Windows application. However, it runs fine using e.g. Parallels, iirc.

Solution

There is a limited BETA of a ServiceStudio that runs in the browser which is available when you are on the "Platform >  Home" page and have the Personal Environment tab selected.

This is present if you access the page from a Mac.

Otherwise look at the system requirements: https://success.outsystems.com/Support/Archive/10.0/OutSystems_Platform_system_requirements

Thank you Ouen.

I have cloud account in Outsystems.

How can i work with Outsystems in cloud plateform is there any tutorials?

Hi Aboorva,

It would've been best to have created a new post if you have a completely unrelated question ;-) different posts means more specific topic for others to find when having the same questions as you.

OutSystems provides quite a range of documentation, training materials and tutorials at their Learn page. Depending on what you want to develop with the platform, I'd suggest to follow one of their Guided Paths. You have basic crash-courses on Developing OutSystems Web Applications and on Developing OutSystems Mobile Apps.

If you just want a glimpse of what you can quickly do in OutSystems, you may like to check the Building a Mobile App in 2 hours tutorial, but don't think of it as a learning tool/training, more of a showcase of what you can do in a short time.

Hope this helps

Hi Palak,

I am getting the following error when i am trying to connect to my personal environment from the Mac.

Hi Mohd,

That has nothing to do with the Technical Preview for Mac, it's just that in order to use Service Studio 11 (regardless whether it is the Technical Preview for Mac or the Windows version) you need to connect to an environment also on version 11.

If you want to try the Technical Preview for Mac with an environment on version 10, I expect you can use the Service Studio for Mac 10.0.827 Technical Preview.

Please keep in mind this is a technical preview and has several limitations you may want to check before deciding to ditch your Windows installation.

Thanks, Jorge. That's correct - Studio is specific to Platform versions:

Please try it and share your feedback!

Hi Andy,

When i am trying to download OS 10 it is showing me an error.

@mohd: I was mistaken, the tech preview for Studio on the Mac is only for OutSystems 11, which was just released this week!
