Consume REST API : The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Hello all,

we are trying to integrate Outsystems with our Service Desk through it's REST API.

When using the "Consume REST API Method" I'm getting "The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel."

What do we need to do to have this working?

Many thanks.

Hi Nelson,

You need an https connection with a valid certificate. Very likely the certificate is not valid. What happens if you try the URL in the browser? Does it warn about an unsecure connection?

Hi Kilian,

If I'm logged in in the site, it returns the JSON result.

EDIT : And I get a Secure Connection in the browser.

EDIT2 : Making the REST call in POSTMAN works just fine.

EDIT3 : Using ardoHTTP.HTTPGet , I get the correct JSON response.

Hi Nelson,

Then I'm out of ideas, unfortunately. But the error message is clear: the Platform finds it can't establish a secure connections with the endpoint at the URL, which means there's something wrong with certificates or the like.

check your firewall and the connections in both directions

I get this to work using the extensions from ardoHTTP and ardoJSON but I rather use the "consume rest" funcionalities as it would create the structures, etc....

Parsing the resulting JSON is more error prone.
