Android Download Apk from binary data

Good afternoon,

I need to be able to transfer a apk file stored in a entity onto the system more specifically an APK file, so that it shows up in the notifications bar and the user is able to update the app from within.

Also I need a solution that doesn't require plug-ins, I tried to use JavaScript but it doens't appear to do anything.

Thank you for the attention

Hello Diogo

Maybe you can take some ideas from the File Transfer Plugin powered by OutSystems.

Edit:

Sorry, just saw that you can't use plugins!? Are you sure? :)

Yes, unfortunately, I need to find a way to be able to transfer files stored as binary in an entity without using plug-ins.
It kinda sucks since the Web component has a download function in it's diagram scripting and the mobile doesn't.

If it's not possible it's no problem. Thanks for the attention.

Hi, diogo,

As far as I know, it is not possible, since the mobile is an hybrid application and the only way to access the device is through cordova plugins...

If the problem is to not be dependent on third part, you can check the plugin and reproduce the code directly into your app. The native code can be passed as a zip. But I think this is the best that can be done.

Cheers
