Outlook 2007 - broken html rendering

Outlook 2007 - broken html rendering

This week I got Office 2007 installed. Immediately, I started noticing some strange rendering emails, from specific senders (application's reports, news, etc.).
Basically, some images or graphics just would not be rendered.

So, I googled for: outlook 2007 html rendering
Here are 2 of the first hits displayed today:

Microsoft takes email design back 5 years - http://www.campaignmonitor.com/blog/archives/2007/01/microsoft_takes_email_design_b.html

Word 2007 HTML and CSS Rendering Capabilities in Outlook 2007 - http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338200.aspx

How come Microsoft breaks (even more) the support for standard html? Why deciding to go to the word html rendering? Is it because of security concerns? To have a consistent office layout viewer? If so, why not have the IE engine stripped out of scripting capabilities?

So, if you are sending html emails through your applications, you definitely will have to test against Outlook 2007. Unpleasant surprises may happen.

Hello, I´m using the built-in Send Email from Service Studio and now some people are having problems to open the message on Outlook 2007..the person receives an empty message.
Could be this issue?
It´s the built-in widget, so hoow did you work around with this problem?
Thank you for any help!
