SAP connector helper tables --> best practice?

SAP connector helper tables --> best practice?

Hello,

We are building some SAP integrations and and often there are quite some "helper tables" from SAP involved when filling a screen. For example when I change cost center data in SAP, I have to fill a field "Business Area" that needs to be picked from a list. What is the best practice here: do we read all the helper tables at once in the preparation? Or do we only retrieve the helper table from SAP when the user explicitely requests this list?

Kind regards,

Bas Hamstra

Hi,

Dunno, but I think helper-tables are a perfect candidate for being cached in outsystems itself.

(and syncing regularly at night for example)

This means you will have faster response and the ease of outsystems.

Thank you for your answer. We are gaining experience with the SAP connector, and making good progress so far.
