Hi Joao,

Thanks for this great component.

But my testing team found that email field is accepting the semicolons.

Can you please update the component so it won't accept the semicolons for email field?

Hello Suraj,

Technically, email addresses can contain commas, as discussed here:

  • space and "(),:;<>@[\] characters are allowed with restrictions (they are only allowed inside a quoted string, as described in the paragraph below, and in addition, a backslash or double-quote must be preceded by a backslash);
  • comments are allowed with parentheses at either end of the local-part; e.g. john.smith(comment)@example.com and (comment)john.smith@example.com are both equivalent to john.smith@example.com.

That does not mean that the format you specified is legal. 

Why don't you provide a fix for that and share with the community? I'm sure João will be happy to include it!
