Getting error when using a connector from integration studio: Could not find endp....

Hi, we had to make a connector with integration studio to connect to a webservice. When I use the connector I pass the webservice url to it as a variable. The webservice call fails and I get this error:

Could not find endpoint element with name 'http://---------.asmx' and contract 'ws.ServiceSoap' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this name could be found in the client element.

I already tested the webservice at the url and it works, so that is not the problem, I also tried to add ?wsdl to the url and that didn't work either.
Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Hi,

ASP.NET automatically generates the WSDL or "service description" for your service by reflecting over the types in your service.  You can see the WSDL for your service by browsing to your ASMX file, which should show you a help page for your service containing a link to the service description for the service.  The WSDL can also generally be reached by appending "?wsdl" to the address of the asmx file.

In visual studio.

  • Create or open a project.
  • Right-click project from solution explorer.
  • Select "Add service refernce"
  • Paste the address with WSDL you received.
  • Click OK.

If no errors, you should be able to see the service reference in the object browser and all related methods.

Regards,

Daniel
