How to find the device in which the application is used?

I have created a web application.

I have to display a specific part of screen only if the application is used from desktop.

I have to neglect if it is used from hand held devices like Mobiles Tablets

Hi Ajithkumar,

In WebPatterns (SilkUi) you have an action called CurrentDevice that will return which type of device is currently in use.

Thank you. I tried the function which you have mentioned.

The return from that action is an integer tried from desktop it was 6 and 7 from mobile browser.

I want know the standard returns code sent for each device.

Hi Ajithkumar,

The return of a function is a DeviceTypeId, you can look up in the static table (also in the WebPatterns module) which device type it corresponds to.
