got err: SOAPArrays is not supported in platform server

When I set up a 'consume SOAP ws', there's an err given as attached. I just need to consume its 'getvalues'. Pls advise what I'd do. Thx.

Hello Henry,

You didn't mention if you are working in version 11 or 10 (or even a prior one) of OutSystems Server.

For 10 you have the following limitations: https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/10/Reference/OutSystems_Language/Extensibility_and_Integration/SOAP_Web_Services/Consumed_SOAP_Web_Service/SOAP_Web_Services_Constraints

For 11: https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Extensibility_and_Integration/SOAP/Consuming_SOAP_Web_Services/Unsupported_SOAP_Use_Cases

If you encounter one of those cases, you may need to create an extension to consume your web service.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Thx, Eduardo. I'm using 11. I've gone through the SOAP arrays section as mentioned in your url. Can u pls further give me some directions of how I'd handle the wsdl xml, https://ctmabms.ddns.net/_common/webservices/Eval?wsdl? I don't have the permission to update the content in this xml. Thanks.

Hello Henry,

If you can't wait for the platform to include support for this, you have to consume the Web Service through an Extension. Don't know any other way.

Cheers.

Thanks, and do u know when the platform supports this then? I'm also learning to setup as u told, and when I 'edit source code .NET' as described in the steps, the Studio needs me to define them. Then I'm not sure what to set in the another screen. Do I need to install visual studio on my own pc first? How'd I specify on those options? Thx.

Hello Henry,

I don't have a schedule to this feature to be available.

Yes, you need to have Visual Studio installed if you are working under Dot Net (mandatory for O11). In the path that is empty you need to set the path to the DevEnv.exe in the Visual Studio folder.

Cheers.

Hi again, I've come to the VS part on its mentioned cs file update, but I'm not sure on sth. Thanks.

Hi Matthias,

SOAP Arrays feature will be released in the next O11 platform update.

We are working to release the next update as soon as possible.

Thank you

Great, currently using 11.0.120, so assuming this to be ready in 11.0.12X, right? Pls leave a message if this is ready and any doc url so that I can refer on how to set this up. Many thx!

Hi Henry,

I don't know the next platform version, but this feature will be released in the next update.
About some documentation, I don't have that information, but this will be low code supported at introspection like all other cases.

Thank you.
