Hi Ramesh Kannan.,

Since Prompt property is not available for password input field , You can use OSTagname to set the prompt value.

Thank You Ellakkiya Selvadura.

Adding placeholder=" placeholder name" in the extended property will also work in this case.

Hi Ellakkiya,

Can you please elaborate how to use OSTagName in order to get placeholder prompt?

As I know if I write OSTagName in extended property it generates a  tag name at runtime as the prompt is a placeholder i.e attribute of the tag.

How you were able to get a prompt message just by using OSTagName.

Pankaj

Hi Pankaj pant.,

Here, Prompt refers to PlaceHolder. so we can use OSTagname

So here I don't think you need to Write an extra extended property(OSTagename). Placeholder alone will work.

because password also generates as an input when it renders to browsers.

Thankyou for you response Pankaj,

PlaceHolder alone works.
