Service Center Error Email

Dears,

Recently my Service Center log error has notified several messages with this content: Error sending email 413: This is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server. This occurs in the development environment and also in the production. Someone knows what this means ?

I'm assuming it worked before and you didn't change configurations.


Check with your network team.

Name resolution will probably mean a DNS issue. Maybe that domain changed IP and your server can't reach the expected service.

If you have an on-premises, do a traceroute from the server (or just sniff the outgoing traffic) and see if it reaches the server you expected. If it doesn't, flush dns and try again.

OS retries the email send so in a few hours the nameservers will update and the email service will find the right server.

If the problem persists you may have a problem.
