Aim: "To send data to a developer device, you will need to generate an ASCII85 token unique to an instance of an app on a specific device. The Ascii 85 token is a safe variant of base85 encoding that indirectly identifies an instance of your app."

How do I go about retrieving the ASCII85 token from an OutSystems mobile application for, say, Android?

To achieve this in Android Studio, all I need do is edit the AndroidManifest.xml to add:

<meta-data android:name = "devmode" android:value = "true"/>

and the ASCII85 token would be printed out to the console. Is making this edit possible within OutSystems?

I'm assuming that you are quoting the documentation for some service you are trying to use, is that correct? If so, can you share more information about this service? Do you have a link to the documentation?

The service is called Pyze, here's a link to the OutSystems documentation {https://docs.pyze.com/outsystems.html} and a page with the quote from above {https://docs.pyze.com/product#get-ascii85-token}.

It provides user analytics on the service's dashboard, but doing that requires access to the app, and their way of doing it is with the ascii85 token.

Interesting.i have never heard of them. Have you tried asking on their site?

I have contacted them for support and am in contact with people from Pyze, but meanwhile I was just checking whether there was a way to edit the AndroidManifest file in an OutSystems mobile app.
