So I have implemented an external Authentication Provider that does authentication for IT users as required by the client. And it works. And then it gets weird.

Signing in to Service Studio works just fine.

Signing into Service Center works just fine.

Signing into LifeTime doesn't work at all.

Note that when signed into service center the user is authenticated, so you can open up lifetime and carry on as normal - since you are signed in as an IT user via service center you are also "signed in" on lifetime.

Also - When signing in to service center, debugging the external Authentication Provider shows it calling the provider and signing in etc. However when signing in to lifetime, nothing.

Signing in to lifetime basically just gives a "user name or password invalid" error.

Any ideas?

Thanks, I have done so. I've only gotten the standard response of "When did this begin? Have you made any changes that might influence the behavior?" so far.

Hopefully can get something more concrete soon

I will be following this with extreme interest, as I am being tasked with engaging AD authentication and have that same concern.
