Using a colon in Rest URL to pass a parameter

Hi All,

Has anyone else tried to use a colon on a path in the URL of API being consumed as a parameter eg

/users/:username/repos

I've imported a set of APi's from a swagger 2 doc and outsystems recognises that it is an input parameter setting up a variable but says the input parameter is not used. if I manually change to /users/{username}/repos the code happily publishes.

Also raised a support case to check if this is fully supported.

Hi Paul, parameters are normally defined with brackets, as you can see in swagger official docs: https://swagger.io/docs/specification/2-0/describing-parameters/

Even though it might work here and there (even with other tools), it's a good practice to stick to the standards in order to avoid unexpected issues.
