Spinner not allowing the user to login.

Hi everyone,

I am adding the loading spinner to the default login to the application. But that spinner is not allowing to log in the users even with the valid credentials. It throws the exception "Invalid username or password". But if I am removing that spinner container the user is able to log in. Kindly help!!

Hi,

Without sharing the .oml, it is difficult to help you with this problem..

Regards,

Daniel

Hi Shivya,

Indeed as Daniel recommend to share OMl, it would be easy for folks here to help you.

Perhaps if not possible then you should clarify below:

- Mobile or Web Application?

- Post a Snapshot of Login Action.

- Did you try to debug the same i.e Action?

thanks,

Assif

Hi,

Thank you for your concern. I apologize as I will not be able to share the oml file. It is a web app. I am applying the below CSS in a container on the login screen. And on the click of sign in I am doing ajax refresh the container. Also if this is not sufficient I can upload the sample oml file in some time.

/*Spinner styles*/
.cover-spin {
    position:fixed;
    width:100%;
    left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;
    background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.7);
    z-index:9999;
}

@-webkit-keyframes spin {
    from {-webkit-transform:rotate(0deg);}
    to {-webkit-transform:rotate(360deg);}
}

@keyframes spin {
    from {transform:rotate(0deg);}
    to {transform:rotate(360deg);}
}

.cover-spin::after {
    content:'';
    display:block;
    position:absolute;
    left:48%;top:40%;
    width:40px;height:40px;
    border-style:solid;
    border-color:black;
    border-top-color:transparent;
    border-width: 4px;
    border-radius:50%;
    -webkit-animation: spin .8s linear infinite;
    animation: spin .8s linear infinite;
}
.line{
    height: 1px;
    border: 1px solid grey;
    margin: 30px 0;
}
.Or{
    margin: 21px 0;
    color: #000;
}
.OSInline, .OSInline span{
    color: #fff;
}

Hi Shivya,

Sorry, for me the CSS you shared gives no indication why the login would fail.

The CSS is not structural as far as I can see, so no logic should depend on it.

  • Did you only add the CSS or did you also change logic (client or server action) in the application?
  • Did you include custom javascript in your code?

Regards,

Daniel

Hi Shivya,

If you can't share the OML because of company policies, please, create a new application with a new module where you perform in the same changes you created in the other application to reproduce the error.

If you can't do this in the company server, try to replicate this in your personal environment.

It is very hard to help to understand unexpected behaviour without access to the code.

Cheers.
