We're having problems rendering PDFs with pdfjs-viewer on MACs/Safari - it's related

ReferenceError: Can't find variable: DEFAULT_URL on getViewerConfiguration - pdfJSViewer.ViewerScreen.aspx:10266 on webViewerLoad - pdfJSViewer.ViewerScreen.aspx:10270

We've done some troubleshooting and can confirm that the latest version of pdf.js - https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/releases/tag/v2.2.228 - works fine on Safari for MACs - tested this sample: https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html - but the module made available on the forge probably doesn't have the latest version of pdf.js.

Do you expect to update it any time soon?

Do you have any recommendations on how to quick fix this problem?

Hi Hugo,

I have to check this. I'll update the files with the newer version to test it and if everything works, I'll upload a new version.

As soon as I have done it (I'll try to update it this weekend), I'll tell something.

Cheers.

Thank you very much Eduardo.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hello Hugo,

I uploaded a new version of the component (0.2.2). Could you say if it solved the issue in Safari on a Mac?

Cheers.

Hi Eduardo.

I'm waiting on a Mac from the client to test this in non-production environments. If you could publish it in a demo public site I can test it with my personal Mac.

Btw, is it too much to ask to have this for version 10 of the platform?

Cheera

Hello Hugo, I will setup a Try Now link as soon as I get to a computer.

As for Veraion 10, I have to see if I can get my hands on an environment still on version 10. I'll tell you something later.

Cheers

Just uploaded version 0.1.4, the equivalent of version 0.2.2 for platform 10 version. Yet Under Development (Hide features are not working)

Cheers.

Thanks once more Eduardo.

I'll download it and test it asap.

Cheers
