Overide box sizing:border box default property for an expression widget

Good Day Team,

I have a form where i inserted an expression to calculate the total stock on hand for a particular item. I am trying to get the format of the expression box to be consistent with the input boxes however the border-box style makes it difficult as an inherited style.

Is there anyway that i could accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Jurian Dejean,

You can just find out the css by inspecting the input on browser or also css for input is provided in bottom of properties of input. Use the same css for expression also.

HI

 Thanks for the prompt reply. I did this already (see attached).

However it defaults back to the original ".box-sizing:border-box" as well as my changes. Every other change was applied except for the height of the box which i my main concern.

Solution

Hi,

Try to add this height in inline or add height:40px !important;
it may help you or you can also try all the css on the container wrapping this expression.

If this will not help you if possible send me oml.

Amazing! This solved it; applying properties to container - I was trying to edit the expression widget but i never thought of enclosing it in a container. I spent hours last night googling and trying to figure this out.

The important property did not work however after researching its use I was happy to learn such information (Yes am a google freak lol).

Really appreciate the help. Please continue to help struggling developers like me. God bless you richly!!!
