Hi,

However I am getting below errors in Service Studio. Kindly advise as I couldn't find this error in Google which is my essential source of troubleshooting.

Unavailable Feature

The environment you're logged into doesn't support 'Options Content Property for Dropdown in Mobile and Reactive modules'. Upgrade the environment to publish the module.

Are you sure that your Environment and Studio are updated?

Recently we saw this error that was quite similar to yours:

Hi Maitha,

Are you by any chance working on the MacOS version of Service Studio?
If yes, have a look at this article for known limitations.

Nordin

Thanks for your replies. Actually I am using Service studio for Windows (Windows 10).

Kindly advise as i am not able to proceed.

Hi,

The Dropdown Widget has a new property Options Content, which you can set to Text Only or Custom. Text Only gives a native look and feel of the dropdown lists in your reactive we and mobile apps. Set Options Content property to Custom to build a dropdown with a list of images or other widgets.

This new feature requires a specific version of the platform in order to work. Apparently you are using a platform version that does not yet support this feature.

For that the error messages states that you have to upgrade your platform version of the environment you are working in.

Regards,

Daniel

Thanks for your response. I did that, but now i am getting below error. I searched in the forum I found this link

https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/33177/setup-a-dropdown-widget-on-a-mobile-application/ where they are referencing the documentation https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/10/Reference/OutSystems_Language/Mobile_Interfaces/Designing_Screens/Dropdown

but in the documentation there is no property "Options Content" or even "content". The online training materials does not include an example of how to set the drop down list with this version.

Solution

Hi,

If you set the Option Content to "Custom", than you have to add at least add an extra widget, for example an  expression to show the content that should appear in the droplist. The idea of custom content is that you for example can easily combine an image or icon, with text..

See attached example i made for you, on the details screen the ExternalId is using a combo box with custom content (just an expression) but you could include more complicated content.

Daniel

Solution

Hi,

Thanks all for your responses. I've downgraded to a lowest version and now it is fine.
