connect to OutSystems sql server database from external source using C++

We have an application where we want someone to be able to read a few tables in our OutSystems database (SQL Server on prem).  They are connecting to the database from C++.  Does anyone have any experience what the connection string would look like from C++?  We did make a local username/password on the SQL Server so he can access only those tables but not sure how he would structure the connection string.

Solution

Hi Jason,

I would think the connection string syntax depends on the database (MS-SQL Server, Oracle) not on the programming language you use to connect to the database. Anyhow this is not a real OutSystems question.

It is about how to connect from C++ to a database.

Maybe this link can help you: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/sql-database/sql-database-develop-cplusplus-simple

Daniel

Solution

Hi Jason,

I have checked to connect Outsystems database from other application but it is not possible with free personal edition in the Outsystems cloud.

I am sharing one post link. I think this will be helpful for you to achieve your requirement.
