Two applications with common database

Hello All,

i have two applications, one for web and one for mobile only. The web application has it's database named "Form". My question is if it is possible to connect the mobile app with the web app's database.

If yes, advise me the steps that i should do.

I went to Service Center to follow the integration with external database but i dont know what to fill to the below fields.

Solution

Hi George,

If you set the Is Public property of the entity in your web application to True, then you can add a dependency to it in your mobile app.

External database integration is only needed if you want to access a database that is not from your OutSystems environment, so not relevant in your case.

Daniel

Solution

Thanks Daniël for your reply. I add a dependency successfully.

Now i want to aggregate the database in order to preview results to the mobile applications. It is possible to aggregate ? If yes your advice is highly appreciated.

Hi George,

Yes, you can fetch the server data in OutSystems mobile.

For more information on how to do that read:
