Hello,

Newby here.

We are trying to get a reactive web app in production. And we would like to verify if we setting up everything correct. For some reason we can not see the web app.

The A record is pointing to the IP address at the webhosting provider.

The domain name is something like www.webapp.me

Our cloud enterprise is abcd.outsystemsenterprise.com

The application is in prd and reachable with abcd.outsystemsenterprise.com/webapp.me/

However we can not seem to get the CNAME record correct that the application is shown with the correct url (https://www.webapp.me or https://webapp.me)

The CNAME record we created on hosting provider is:

Name: www

Value: abcd.outsystemsenterprise

We checked https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/42133/cname-versus-outsystems-application/ and seems like we did it like that.

Is there something that we are missing in setting the right CNAME record?

Hi.

Have you pointed the SEO Rules in Service Center to your app? This makes OS give preference to "pretty URLs" instead of the default ones.

For reactive we do not have a lot of options. <...>.webapp.me like you have for a normal website. Is that depending of the custom security certificate which is imported?

As far I know SEO rules don't work yet for Reactive Web Apps. This was mentioned somewhere in the announcement thread of Reactive Web Apps. This could be fixed but I haven't read that anywhere (so I presume it isn't ;)).

edit: Here is the SEO doc: https://success.outsystems.com/Support/Enterprise_Customers/Maintenance_and_Operations/OutSystems_Platform_SEO_Friendly_URLs

and conformation that it didn't work as of 9 feb: https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/57383/seo-friendly-urls-not-supported-with-reactive-web-apps/. That's also my source I think. I also was at this User Group session.

Does your certificate include that domain?

Yes it it does. For single domain webapp.com.
