Need a way to revert User Entity data to its the previous record

Is there a way that I can revert the previous data of User entity? Duplicate data occurred due to the action imported from an API.

Solution

Hi Esrom,

Can you not use <yourenvironment>/Users application for that?

Or you can scaffold a list and details screen on the entity, create a delete user action on the table record row.

Then decide which of the records need to be removed.

Regards,

Daniel

Solution

Hi Esrom,

To revert data in a database, you'd have to be keeping backups of it - without them there's no way to revert back to a previous state.

You'll have to either create a front-end to delete records, or create and execute an SQL script to delete the erroneous data.

Thanks, Daniel and Alfonso. I've added a link beside the table records and create an action deleting the unnecessary records.

Is there a way to backup the User Entity Table? Or the database in OutSystems?

This could be done in the database layer underneath OutSystems - if you're running in the cloud, OutSystems will do this for you, and you just need to request a restore when you need it. If it's a local installation, you'd have to setup the backups - the exact process would change depending on your database.
