Hello!

I setup SMTP using GSuite based on these instructions:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Extensibility_and_Integration/Configure_OutSystems_to_Send_Emails

I have referenced these instructions including some posts on the forum
https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Extensibility_and_Integration/Configure_OutSystems_to_Send_Emails
https://www.outsystems.com/forums/discussion/41359/send-email-in-mobile-application/
regarding how to setup email in Outsystems.  But my screen is not showing the same info as provided in the examples.

When I go to create an email in a web application, I do not see the email options on the left hand side, regardless of what window in Visual Studio I reference when I create a Server action.

This is a brand new web app specifically to test the email function of Outsystems... any ideas as to what I am missing?

Hi Alex,

for SendEmail widget you need to create traditional web application.

Please see below screen shot.I have created a traditional web application and email widget is there.

Hi Alex,

Seems like you are working on the reactive web application, the reason you are not seeing email action here. To use the email feature, You need to create a new Traditional application to have access to the email functionality and consume it in your Reactive app.

Thanks,

Sachin

ooooh ok, only traditional.  Thanks.

Random side question:  Why only traditional web apps used for email and not a web app?  Why does Outsystems restrict this to just traditional?
