Hello, everyone!

I´m a web designer, and new to your platform.

I´m having some trouble to fix my footer at the end of the browser.

I´ve already tried this technic, (http://ryanfait.com/sticky-footer/) and it works, but is there another way to obtain, an equivelant result.

Does enyone have some pointers to resolve this issue?

Hi, José.

The "by-the-book" way to achieve such behaviour would be to use CSS fixed positioning. Something like:
.footer {
  position: fixed;
  bottom: 0px;
  left: 0px;

If you wanted it centered, then it would probably be something like:
.footer_centered {
  position: fixed;
  bottom: 0px;
  width: 1000px; /* for example */
  /* to center it horizontally */
  left: 50%;
  margin-left: -500px;

However, I suspect this CSS "by-the-book" will not work in some browsers. I know it will not work on IE6, since it does not even support fixed positioning.

This might be the reason why the presented solution is highly based on CSS hacks.

I hope this is the answer you were looking for.
