Personal Environment keeps sleeping

Hi all,

My personal environment keeps sleeping for the past 3 days and i have to wake it up every day. This resulted in my app to have internal error everytime i publish it. From what i found in other forums, i managed to solve the internal errors, but i find this very dangerous as there is a possibility that my app cannot be published, resulting in the development of my app to be affected.

I dont understand why my personal environment keeps sleeping as i use my personal environment everyday, publish my app everyday (numerous times a day even) and also log in to my app using both test browser and the generated app. Is this a normal issue or do i have to do anything else to prevent my app from sleeping?

Hi Jolene,

Above is not happened to everyone.

I would suggest you to please raise a support case with OS team.

Hi Jolene,

I hope you are using your personal environment only for the learning purpose. This environment can not be used for production purpose.

So there is a possibility that if you use this environment heavily like your apps are being used by many users and you are crossing your data limits quite often then it could be the root cause of environment going to sleep daily. I am not sure, just assuming.

For more details about personal envirnment limitation you can check below link

Solution

Hi Jolene,

I have also faced the similar issue in the past and the root cause is similar explained by Nikhil, I have too many apps installed in my personal environment due to which it was running out of space and every day it goes down to sleep mode. You can check the status of DB space consumed in lifetime by clicking the environment details.

And i have used the below forge component to clean up the free space and deleted the unwanted applications from my personal environment.
