How does Outsystem get the current computer login account password information

How to obtain the current user login computer account password information, when the system does not need the user to perform login

Hi Con liu,

You cannot obtain someone's password, and that's a good thing! Passwords are stored in an unretrievable, hashed form in the database. It would be a huge security risk if you could read them.

What do you mean by "when the system does not need the user to perform login"? If you want to login a user without the user supplying their credentials, you can use the Login Actions from System.

Solution

Hi Con Liu,

Are you talking about Windows Integrated Authentication?

The platform uses the following built-in actions (available in the System module) in order to retrieve information about the current Windows user.

Hope this helps.

Nordin

Solution

Hi Liu,

You can authenticate users by their windows credentials(no need to enter this), using active directory in your organization. Are you talking about it ?

Sanjay
