Deeplink on Android
Question

Good Morning,

In our mobile app, we need to generate a deeplink to share.

I follow the next link in order to generate that link:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/How-to_Guides/Development/How_to_define_Mobile_App_deep_links

So the deeplink will be something like :

com.app.develop://module/screenpage

However when I share this deeplink in whatsapp, for example, in iOS opens the application as excepted, but in Android nothing happens and the link is not clickable.

Someone had the same problem?

Best Regards,

Nuno Lourenço

So did you try the second part of that linked article where it has specific Android instructions with intents?

Yes, but with no sucess. I resolved the problem with the generation of a dynamic link in firebase.

Cool. If you'd like to explain what you did, with some screenshots, and post it here, mark it as the right answer, you'll be helping people who run into the same problem in the future!

Hello OutSystems Community,

The OutSystems team has recently released a plugin on Forge that enables you to implement Firebase Dynamic Links in OutSystems applications. This plugin is called Dynamic Links Plugin (Firebase), here is the link: https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/10988/dynamic-links-plugin-firebase.

You can also search for "dynamic links" in the Forge search bar and it should appear at the top of the list.

Feel free to reach us out if you use this component and have any questions!

Best regards,
Alexandre
