Email settings in Service Studio

After re-installing the eMail settings are blank.  What should the SMTP setting be for Localhost?

Indeed the settings for SMTP are supposed to be blank by default, because unless you have an SMTP server at your localhost, you should be using an external server.

I have heard some feedback on people using GMail's SMTP settings and user account to send e-mail using the Community Edition.

The instructions for configuring it should be these, if you have a gmail account:

If you don't use Gmail, I'm confident that most e-mail providers' settings should work as well, as long as you have the right credentials.
