How to clean up the LoginAttempt table?

Hello

In my environment, the table OSUSR_6WD_LOGINATTEMPT consumes too much space - 700+ MB from the 2 GB space available in a personal environment.

How can I clean up the log data, e.g. delete old log entries such as to reduce the log size?

I looked into the DB Cleaner on Steroids app, but this does not appear to be able to clean this table (only other logs, e.g. the error log).

Solution

Hi Mária,


You can use the SQL Sandbox forge component.

It provides you access to the database and you can run a query do truncate the table / delete all records.

Hi João,

thank you for the quick reply. I checked the component out and it seems to be able to run its magic. Is it "safe" to just delete records from the system LoginAttempt table just so via the SQL Sandbox?

Are there no dependencies, which might cause issues, when the log entries get deleted?

Hi Mária,


Well, you're on your Personal environment so I guess it is better than running DELETE queries in Production :)

It is ok to delete the contents of this table in your personal environment, no strings attached to it.
