Windows 10 IoT Core
Application Type
Mobile

Before I start a discussion on the topic I wanted to ask if anyone in the community has built anything for the Win 10 IoT Core platform, or if OutSystems can confirm it is possible?

I'm looking to build a UI + JS frontend services to run on the W10 IoT Core platform, as an interface to a home automation system that would be running on a Linux server, either in-house or in-cloud. The server stack would give up an API layer for MQTT or Web services, which I'm sure you've got covered.

My concern is more the Win10 Core platform as that comes with some restrictions.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I have no experience or knowledge about the Win 10 IoT core platform, but that said any platform or application that exposed an API layer (SOAP or REST) can be integrated with OutSystems. There is plenty of documentation and training material on this subject, for example:

https://www.outsystems.com/training/courses/116/integrating-with-web-services/

The Forge has also components to integrate using MQTT, see:
