Forms without creating entities

Hi All,

I want to create a form but I don't want to post the data into the database, I want to store it temporarily. Is there a way to create a form without creating entities? If yes, how can we set its source property?

Thanks & Regards

Sahil

Hi Sahil,

1. Create a structure of data type of form's source entity.

2. In your screen create tow local variable one of data type structure and another one of list of structure

3. Add local variable of structure to form's source

4. In your save action use list append and append each record of form to structure list .

5. This will only structure list hold the data only in screen

At the end you will have all the data in list

Hope this will help,

Hi Sahil,

you can create structure for it and use this structure in a forms.

But this structure will hold data only within screen.

Hope this will help you.

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for your suggestion, but when using structure I'm not able to set its source property to my structure.

Sahil

Hi Sahil,

You can declare a new local variable and set its data type to record.

You can then, store your data their temporarily.

Hi Sahil ,

Take a local variable on screen , assign the data type to structure that you have created then assign the source of form to that local variable
