[Reactive Web Previewer] Not able to Convert Binary to TIFF file Format.
Application Type
Reactive

Hello all,

I am using [Reactive Web Previewer]  Forge component in my Reactive Web Application.

This Forge Component does not work with TIFF file format.  Not able to Convert TIFF File.

Does we need any additional Binary Converter (In built , Server Action)  to convert TIFF File Format ..??

Can anyone help me on this..

Thanks :)

Hi JK,

The reactive web previewer is not convert the BIN file to TIFF, is just display the document in few of the format.

I got https://convertio.co/bin-tiff/ this to convert BIN to TIFF,

May that helpful for you,

Kind Regards,

Hello @Komal Kumbhar,

Do you use the website to do that, or you implement with the API? If implement with the API should be a nice component to publish on the forge.

Best Regards,

Nuno R

Hi Nuno,

I haven't try this with API, I'll try.

Thank you,

Kind regards,

Hello @Komal Kumbhar again,

I think use the API should be a nice component to do. The only issue is just if we upload document that are "important" they will stay on convertio server.

I also will try to implement that to see how it works. If I have news I will tell you.

Best Regards,

Hello Komal / All,

My question was i am not able to display TIFF file into my Browser ( in Forge Component "Reactive Web Previewer").

I am getting Binary Data from API and wan to display content in Page.

Other files getting displayed (for e.g : pdf, doc, jpeg, png..). But not able to display only Tiff file format.

What can i do to display TIFF file format into my browser..??

I hope my question is clear.?

Thanks:)

Hello @JK2020,

Sorry about using your question for other discussion (convert from one file type to other)

I think to see TIFF files on the browser there is some issues related to browser compatibility, see this link:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers#Image_format_support

Why is necessary to display the TIFF? Maybe display the image in PNG and have a link to download the TIFF.

Hope it helps you.

Best Regards,

Nuno R
