[CKEditor] CKEditor - Include images in mail
Question
Forge component by Matthias Preuter

Hi all !

I'm trying to include the CKEditor content into an HTML mail.

Actually my system work (I load the binary content and I convert it to text using BinaryDataToText): everything is fine (tables, fonts, colors, etc.) ... but I'm fighting against the images.

How can I include the images ?

My tags are something like "<img alt="" src="/CKEditor/Download.aspx?GUID=b8d4f324-3af9-4e6d-916d-8ba814d9ceb8" />"

Solution

UPDATE: the only way I found to "include" in my email the images is to download the binary of the image, convert it to Base64 and put the Base64 string in the SRC of the IMG.

I believe that the HTMLProcessing extension built into the system has some calls that will make those absolute URLs for you.

Hi,

you can search for src="/CKEditor/Download.aspx?GUID=  and replace it with src="https://<domain>/CKEditor/Download.aspx?GUID=

Hi Prasad ... thanks for your answer ...

does it works at your server ? did you already use this trick ?

Hi,

In majority of my projects it has worked but in one instance it did not, in that company they had policy which restricted external link, in that instant we have to embed the content as base64 in src.

Regards.
