[Data Grid Reactive] Is there an ability to change how the Filter by Condition formats numbers?
Forge component by OutSystems R&D
Application Type
Reactive

I'm creating a page where we have ID's that go above 999 inside of the Reactive Data Grid. When we click on the Filter By button that appears on every column header and go to "Filter by Condition" section and type in any number that is greater than 999 there will be commas every three numbers to mark thousands, millions, and so on so forth.

Is there a way to deactivate the addition of commas in the number or format the number within the filter by popup?

This column is a Number column with the only changes from default being Entities.AlignMode.Right for Align and 110 width.

Solution

Hello @Michael Hollingsworth ,

Is just in the filter that the commas are a problem?

If they are also in the cell display of the number and in edit mode, you can you can add these two JS rows in the OnReady event of the page that has your grid:

GridAPI.ColumnManager.GetColumnById($parameters.ColumnId)._provider.format = "f 0"

GridAPI.ColumnManager.GetColumnById($parameters.ColumnId)._editor.format = "f 0";

The parameter ColumnId should be your number column id:

We know this isn't the ideal solution, but can you let us know if this works?

Thanks,

Bruno Martinho

Mr. Martinho,

Yes, this was exactly what I was looking for. It works perfectly for our screen. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Michael Hollingsworth
