Cannot get dates to display MM/DD/YYYY

Cannot get dates to display MM/DD/YYYY

I have changed the service center setting for date format and republished all my eSpaces, and the dates are still coming as YYYY/MM/DD.

Is there another setting in the eSpace or elsewhere that needs to be set to get US date format?
Hello John,

Maybe this post: http://www.outsystems.com/NetworkForums/ViewTopic.aspx?Topic=How-to-change-the-date-format-for-a-specific-eSpace%3F can help you.

I hope that helps

I reported this as a bug quite some time ago. The workaround for the time being is to make an expression that does it the way you want. :(

Hi Justin,

When read the data from database and displaying the date in the form, I would like to display only the date (format mm/dd/yyyy), not the time. Can you please let me know what expression I should use?

right now: it is displays like 03/02/2011 00:00:00

Thx,
Sam

Hello Sam,

You can use the DateTimeToDate from the builtin functions.

I hope that helps

Actually, the system config changed did the trick, it just took a while to kick in - some hidden cache setting perhaps?

In any case, I am getting the right format now except with the PrettyDate formatting widget, which still insists on y/m/d format.
