difference between anonymous screen and normal screen

Hi,

I am having the query regarding screens,

what is the difference between anonymous screen and normal screen?

Solution

Hi sivakrishna kante,

OutSystems provides you with a default set of System Roles and also allows you to define your own custom Roles.

System Roles

Anonymous: Allows any end user to access the element, including users that aren't logged in (non-authenticated users).

Registered: Allows any end user who has logged into an Application running in the same Platform Server (authenticated users) to access the element.

custom Roles

Custom Roles are to manage the access of end users to the screens and operation of your application.

From the above screenshot it is observed that, the user who have the finance role can only able to view this screen.

Kindly refer the document attached here

Hope this helps!

Hi,

In addition to previous replies, if you want to go deeper and understand better how to use roles:

https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/11/Developing_an_Application/Secure_the_Application/User_Roles/Validate_End_User_Permissions_in_the_Application

I suggest you to take the lessons available in the Learn section. ;)

Hope this can help you.
