Use of "Add Entity" Option in Integration studio

While importing the entities from the external database I have come across the "Add Entity" option.

I have few questions related to this -

1. What is the purpose of this option?

2. Entity created with this option after publishing automatically gets deployed to the connected database?

As mentioned in the documentation with this option one can manually add an entity to the extension but I just wanted to understand where this entity resides?

Hello @Mayank Dharmpurikar

That'll usually helps you to map the schema what you're having with you in outsystems environment with external DB.

Check the below documentation for better understanding .

Hi,

The Entity editor allows you to later change the action properties. Once the entities are defined and the extension is published on the Platform Server, the Service Studio developer must add a reference to these entities to use them in the module

The use case of that entity is "This is for external DBs, in the events when you're working with external databases, if permitted by external services you can create entities from the integration studio."
