[Data Grid Reactive] Data Grid Reactive Sort Issue with Structure as Output
Forge component by OutSystems R&D

When using server side pagination, you have to write your own sorting. When you've used a structure for your SQL node output to match your custom query, using the grid's sort event will cause you to get a SQL error if your structure and attribute names don't align to actual entity and attribute names. What is the best way to get around this? Write IF statements that have hard-coded translations from structure to entity, etc? That doesn't seem fun.

Hello @Joseph Marlin ,

In our sample we are using the same type as the Entity as the output and then we are using the AS in the table names to avoid a translation between what we get from the grid and the actual names in the advanced query:

I'm trying to understand your use case... you have a totally custom Output Entity and you are binding it to the data grid? You are mixing in the same structure concepts from different tables that you join in the Query?

No need to share the AdvancedQuery, but can you shed some light so we can try to understand?
