Why my external URLS can not open in a new tab?
Application Type
Traditional Web

Hello,

I want to make my external URLS can directly open in a new tab. I already make it like this, but, it's still open in the same tab. is there something i missing ?

FYI, in here i'm using tradisional web apps.

Hi,
Replacing the Button widget with the LINK widget will work for you.

You can also apply the Button class; so the Link appears like a button on UI.

Ex:
https://assif.outsystemscloud.com/ManageClassroom/AdminDashboard.aspx?(Not.Licensed.For.Production)=

Hi @assif_tiger ,

in my case, i don't use a button. so, i am use an expression. in my expression, i put link to direct to the website.

Not sure If I get you correct but;
- You need to put the URL [destination link] in the URL param of Link Widget.
- Expression that you are using in Link Widget is for a label to show on UI

Hi @riesta kristianti tannia,

What you have done is correct, but sometimes the target will not work intermittently. Ensure your browser popup is enabled for your site.

You can use JavaScript to do the same. I have attached a sample URL for your reference

I think you coded it good, and normally it should work. Could you try and test in another browser, maybe you chrome browser has a setting changed or something prohibiting opening in another tab.

I assume the URL you get from the database is a correctly formatted URL.
