Is it possible to compress the size of uploaded image in the database?
Application Type
Traditional Web

Hi all,

I wanted to know that is it possible for us to compress any image uploaded. Meaning if I am uploading an image of 2MB than after uploading it gets saved in the database by being compressed into the size of 200Kb.
Please let me know!

Thank you.

You're right, it should install in your environment but it's taking you to integration studio.

From there you just need to publish it on your environment:

Then it will be available in the dependencies list:

Hi Wahaj,

reducing an image to 10% of its size is a very ambitious number. It will depend on the image.

Try this component: https://www.outsystems.com/forge/component-overview/2347/image-compress

You can apply it after uploading the image and save the compressed result in the database.

Regards

It is getting opened in the integration studio, am not able to understand.

Hello,

You can try this Forge also, This component uses to check file upload size before uploading to the server and compress the image if meets the condition.

Hope this helps
