Reactive - call the onchange event defined in an input

Question

I was designing a component and needed to put a placeholder where the user can put an input and set its logic for the onchange event.

But this component has some functionality in JS. What I want to know is if I can force the onchange event call through JS.

Does the JS functionality use the element that is going to be in the placeholder ?

If it does you could add an input param to the component for the id of that element to use on your JS code, otherwise, I don't think you would be able to access that component.
