How to use BDD Framework to test layered applications?

I work as a Tester. I have pretty good understanding of BDD framework now. However, I wanted some help to understand BDD framework in OutSystems in the following context-

  1. How can I test layered architecture applications. Is there any documentation available for the same?
  2.  Is there a way of developing BDD test application using layered architecture ?
  3. Is there any documentation on how  to use BDD client side for testing?
