Are we making a server call every time we are running a refresh agreggate node?
Question
Application Type
Reactive

While implementing Pagination in reactive application every time we are refreshing aggregate with a new Start Index. So how things are working behind the scenes? Are we fetching details from server every time with new startindex value?

Hello Neha,

Every action that is not a Client Action in a Reactive App triggers a call to the server, this includes Aggregates and Advance SQL, Service Actions, or any other type of data fetching, which is usually stored server-side.

This is why the best practices suggest fetching all the data needed for a page in a single call ( when possible ) to avoid unnecessary calls that can hinder performance.

Hope it helps!
