Accessing the answer from the email service when the deliver fails

If I send an email  to an address that is formally correct but it doesn't exists, can we access the answer from delivery service (Mail Delivery Subsystem ) saying the sent failed?

I know its not suggested to check in system tables, but may be we can check these logs from OSSYS_EMAIL_STATUS table. 
Please check if you are able to get these errors logged into this table or not.

As far as I know, it will be Error ID and you need to get Error Details (full stackTRACE) from another table.
