Error Log empty

  

I upgraded from Platform Server 4.2 to 5.0 and now my Error Log at Service Center is not working. The log is simply empty. How can I re-enable this feature?

A short and direct "1am GMT" answer: Check if the Log Service is running (by opening the Windows Services Console) or simply try to restart the Platform Services.
