Bulk excel export in Reactive
Question
Application Type
Reactive

Hello Folks! I am trying to export bulk of data to excel (We are using 'advanced excel component', because we need to add some specific disclaimer in the excel sheet). But as the number of records are high, we are getting 'connection time out' error. Apart from increasing the timeout value, how can we do it?

It would be very helpful if you could provide a sample oml.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ananya,

You can also try via Timer but that would be 2 step process

1. Onclicking of download button trigger the timer which will create the excel in separate process

2. You need to check some kind of flag or file with your web app regarding the status of file creation and than you can give an option to download the file.

Best Regards

Hi Devendra,

We wanted to kind of avoid this timer. Timer is already built for this. But seems like we have no other choice. Thanks !

Thanks & Kind Regards,

Hi,

Try to insert the data in excel fixed data set by using for loop

ex: if we have 5000 records

use for loop with insert data server action and repeat the cycle by increment the  records

The problem here is, this table is having almost 200 filters. How would we facilitate that many filters in the SQL?! and is there a way out to select middle rows of an aggregate?
